Joblink Plus edges out Test Eagles for spot in men’s finals

Joblink Sonics (Jeb Bishop, Mitchell Shields, Macauley Dawson, Wade Potter and Tobin Mooney) scored their first win of the men’s basketball season on Monday night and they did it in spectacular style. In a nail biting encounter, they beat Test Eagles 62-59 in the last minute of the game. Joblink Sonics have now progressed to the elimination game against Empire All Sorts which will be played next Monday night.

It was a nail biting finish in the semi final game of the men’s basketball competition on Monday night with Joblink Sonics just getting the better of Test Eagles to win 62-59.
It was Joblink Sonics first win of the season and what a time to do it!
The game was an exciting one and even caught the attention of spectators on the other side of the court who were there to watch the women’s game.
Wade Potter with 25 points and Macauley Dawson (17) led Sonics to the win.
Shane Place (18 points) and Tony Place (17 points) top scored for Test Eagles to help keep them in the contest.
In the late game Howies Merkins (Sean Cox 10) defeated Empire All Sorts (Craig Youd 16) 35-29.
CMPL Fallen will play Howies Merkins in the grand final qualifier while Empire All Sorts and Joblink Sonics will play an elimination final next Monday night.
