Despite the threat of rain all day Saturday, a large crowd turned out to support the Lilliane Brady Village (LBV) Pink Ladies’ annual major fundraiser, the LBV Fete. While counting is still underway and a number of late donations have been received, it is estimated the fete has raised around $7,000 for the Pink Ladies. Organisers said that crowds were down slightly on previous years, with the weather believed to have been a major factor. Funds raised on the day will go towards improving the quality of life for village residents, such as the purchase of everyday items and holding regular activities for residents.
