Did someone say Jingle Bells?

Beating the Heat
It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas in Cobar! St John’s School kicked things off with the annual end of year presentations and concert, where Sophie Stovell, Nathan Thornley, Caoimhe Beehan, Ryan Pitkin and Hannah Pitkin got into the festive spirit on Monday. Across town Christmas parties are in full swing, tinsel and lights have been strung and children are putting the final touches on their letters to Santa. The big man in the red suit will be out and about on Saturday for the Cobar Business Association’s Christmas Mega Market Day in the main street. There will be Christmas bargains galore, and the biggest range of stalls and entertainment yet for the markets. The town is also starting to light up, with entries coming in for The Cobar Weekly and Country Energy’s Christmas Lights competition. An entry form is available on Page 30 of this edition.
