Cobar junior netballers’ skills are improving each week

The games played in last Saturday’s round of the Cobar Junior Netball competition at Ward Oval displayed improved skills by a number of junior netballers.
In the Netta competition, Blue narrowly defeated Red 6-4 in a very close competition.
Niamh Urquhart had an excellent game to pick up best and fairest points.
Britney-Lee Fazulla was named the most improved player while Madison Marsh received the encouragement award.
In the other game Green’s shooters had their “eyes in” and ran out 8-1 winners over Maroon.
Carissa Bolt-Mitchell collected the game’s best and fairest points.
Michaela O’Neill was the most improved and Emma Bradley received the encouragement award.
In the Junior competition Light Blue defeated Dark Blue 26-8 in a high scoring match.
Bec Rogers received the game’s best and fairest points while Gabbie Lennon was named the most improved player.
In the other scheduled match Red won on a forfeit from Pink.
There will be no junior netball games
this Saturday due to the long weekend.—contributed
