New role for Jackson with changes at the top of EDMS

Roger Jackson has taken on a new role within Every Day Mine Services Ltd (EDMS) after a shuffle at the top of the company.

Mr Jackson will now fill the role of Director of Technical Services, while executive director of EDMS Ashley Pattison has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

EDMS non-executive chairman Peter Bradfield announced the change this week.

“The change of roles for Ashley and Roger has come about following greater geographical diversification of the business over the last six months, a more relevant matching of their respective skill sets and the identified need for Roger to fill a crucial role that will focus on providing technical support and mentoring to the EDMS management team, new business development and existing customer management,” Mr Bradfield said.

The company has also released an update on the business.

“While EDMS has experienced a substantial downturn in demand for services since its peak in April 2008, it is pleasing to report that our marketing efforts have been rewarded with the mobilisation of three rigs over the past week to new jobs in the Hunter Valley.

“Two of these rigs are on a long term contract with Peabody Wambo.

“The winning of this work coincides with the opening of our Hunter Valley offices where Ashley and our surface drilling division is now based,” Mr Bradfield said.
