Jackpot bowls attracts big fields

Saturday night’s Jackpot social bowls at the Services Club.
Saturday’s social Jackpot bowls competition at the Services Club had a big field of 14 players.
The winners were Barry Francisco and Anne Williams however the jackpot was not won and the prize now stands at $120.
Bowlers also enjoyed a wonderful surprise 65th birthday party for Ron Hanns, at the conclusion of bowls.
The Golden Oldies competition played last Wednesday had eight players on the green.
Ken Harper and Reg Whitla with a great 26-points margin were the winners.
The most consistent player of the month prize went to Joe Chandler with 33 points.
Thursday’s social bowlers, also playing the new Jackpot Bowls format, had a good turn-up.
Brett Allen, Ian Charles and Doug Cameron were the winners.—Wrong Bias
