A group of six hardy archers competed in an Official Shoot at the Cobar Bowmans Club range on Sunday in very cold, blustery conditions.
As usual, the highest score was shot by an archer with an aided compound bow, with Marc Raffaele scoring 700 points from a possible total of 800.
Rex Berthelsen, with a bare compound bow, shot a respectable score of 456 points.
Leading the recurve shooters last week was junior archer Marshall Anderson on 520 points followed by Darrel Warren on 402.
Junior archer Jack Sinclair shot well with his new long bow to record 444 points.
Peter Rogers in a category all of his own, the self bows, scored 446 points over the two rounds.
The club’s annual general meeting will be held at the next unofficial shoot on Sunday August 15.—contributed
