Money for community groups
Wednesday May 6, 2009

Khan’s SUPA IGA store manager Roy Dawood presented four local community groups with a cheque for $1,096.80 each as part of the IGA Community Chest
program last Thursday. Representatives from the Lilliane Brady Village Pink Ladies, Cobar Junior Rugby League and Cobar Hospital Auxiliary were on hand to accept the cheques, with the Brennan Centre the fourth beneficiary (absent from picture). The money was raised through the sale of a number of different lines of products and store specials, with a percentage of sales donated once a year to community groups.
