Things still on the up for Brindabella
Thursday October 7, 2010
Brindabella Airlines’ Marketing and Business Development Manager, Monique
Meijer, reports that it’s “so far, so good”
for the company’s Cobar to Sydney air service.
Launched on Friday September 24, Ms Meijer reports that the Cobar/Sydney service has received good patronage in its first week and a half of operation with many flights filled to half their capacity.
“We had 17 on Tuesday morning and there’s been a number of 11s and 13s so it looks like it’s still going strong,” she said.
Ms Meijer said currently the Cobar/Sydney service’s passenger loads were comparable to their Tamworth/Brisbane route’s start up figures.
“The Tamworth/Brisbane route has gone on to be our most successful route and start up coincided with parliament sitting week (when travel is heavy) and did not coincide with school holidays (which is a traditionally quieter time for us given our business base),” Ms Meijer said.
Apart from a few initial minor hiccups, passengers have been pleased with Brindabella’s service.
