St John’s School got in early with the Easter celebrations last week, holding an Easter Hat Parade on Friday. Hannah Pitkin, teacher Stacy Dunne and Tommy Rogers were among those with colourful, Easter-themed headwear, although some students also wore entire Easter-themed outfits while others applied the theme to their shoes. With only four sleeps until the Easter Bunny visits all the good children in town, Cobar Public School is also getting in the spirit and will hold its Easter Hat Parade tomorrow. The Easter long weekend coincides with the beginning of the school holidays, and with many local families planning to travel away for the holidays, police are urging caution on the roads. Double demerit points will be in force from Thursday through to Monday. - Photo contributed
