Seventeen club members competed in the official shoot at the Cobar Bowman’s Club on Sunday.
It was a memorable day as Junior member John Arnold shot a new club record with a near perfect score of 792 points from a possible 800, using an aided compound bow.
This is the highest score ever shot on the Cobar Bowman’s Club range in all divisions or with any bow type.
Jason Greenaway also shot a very high score of 720 using an aided compound bow along with Junior Kristie Manns who is improving every week with a score of 686.
Senior Dick Tulloh (646 points) and Junior Marshall Anderson (628 points) shot the best scores using bare compound bows.
The best score using a traditional bow was shot by Shane Dupille with a score of 606 points, followed by Zeb Tulloh on 550.
The results (two rounds of 400 points each) were: Cub: compound bow (aided), Braydon Greenaway 524, Tylar Greenaway 282; recurve bow, James Anderson 356; Juniors: Recurve; compound bow, Marshall Anderson 628; Seniors: compound bow (aided), Traci Greenaway 496 and Mark Raffaele 582.
