Local art on display

Outback Arts’ Anita Burcher and Sam Newstead, visiting artist Liz O’Reilly, local artist Sharron Ohlsen, Cobar Arts Council president Mark Ingram and Cobar High School’s Seth Madden were all on hand for the official opening of the Connecting Marks and Country Exhibition on Friday night. The exhibition was the culmination Ms O’Reilly’s month in residence at Cobar, where she worked with all three local schools and Cobar Local Aboriginal Lands Council. Artworks created by the students and community members were displayed, and a magazine detailing the visit was also launched on the night.
