A young man who doesn’t let his disability get in the way of playing sport, working or socialising is The Cobar Weekly’s Young Achiever of the Month for May.
According to all who know him, 19 year old Kyle Loughran genuinely strives to be great.
“To receive the Best and Fairest player in the local tennis competition two years in a row shows his enthusiasm,” Kyle’s mother Sue Loughran said.
Kyle’s enthusiasm also shows in his attitude to work in his own window cleaning business.
“Wendy Robinson from Stationery Essentials approached Kyle to see if he would be interested in cleaning their windows,” Sue said.
“We used to have the shop window cleaned on a regular basis but when Ashley [Cook] left town, there was no one providing that service and I thought Kyle might be able to fill that role,” Wendy said.
“He’s hard working and loves to have a chat, so I thought it would be an ideal job for him.”
Kyle started with two clients and within six weeks of running his own business, his client base has expanded to seven regular customers.
“He does a fantastic job on our windows.
“He’s very diligent and cares about his work and the overall general presentation of the main street,” Wendy said.
Recently Kyle was asked what about himself was he most proud of and in true ‘Kyle style’ he grinned and replied, “Getting my photo in the paper”, so this article and photo is bound to get another grin out of him!
