New look at the pool

While visiting the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool is the last thing on most people’s minds at the moment, one local has been spending all her spare time there helping to bring to life the vision of local school children. Local artist Sheree Webster is
currently painting a mural on the wall of the plant room at the end of the 50m pool as part of a joint project with the Western Catchment Management Authority, local schools and Cobar Shire Council. The final design of the mural brings together the ideas from the school children to depict the Cobar region.
