Rotary boosts Brennan Centre funds

Cobar Rotary Club president Ray Smith (far left) and members Max Humphries and Heinz Hauptli (who are also both on the Brennan Centre building committee) handed over a cheque for $10,000 to Elaine Burton (Brennan Centre committee treasurer) last Friday.
The money will go towards the construction of new units at the centre. Mr Humphries said the donation to the building fund “takes it very close to the total needed”. He said the plans for the units are progressing well, with final negotiations with the builder now underway and the plans submitted to Cobar Shire Council. Mr Smith said the donation was of the proceeds from the Billy Can Bash events held over the past two years.
