Head Coach of Country Rugby League Far West squad Col Wright recently announced that five athletes had been selected to attend the NSW Rugby League Players Camp at Narabeen in January.
Among those selected were Cobar’s David Watson and Macauley Dawson.
The CRL Academy programme commences again in February with the squad travelling to Dubbo for a combined development day with the Western Region CRL Academy squad.
In April 2009 the squad will play in the Nyngan Challenge against metropolitan and interstate junior league sides.
Far West Acadamy of Sport (FWAS) Executive Officer Kathy Barber said this was a great opportunity for all athletes selected to tour in January.
“These are wonderful sporting and life skill development opportunities for athletes from the remote Far West region of NSW,” she said.
