Wednesday February 11, 2009

St John’s School’s ‘Books in Homes’ program was launched for 2009 with the help of some very special guests last week, when six NRL players visited the school. As part of the program, students will receive three books throughout the year to encourage and promote reading at home. The NRL players spoke with the children about the importance of reading and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The visit was part of NRL’s ‘One Community’ program, which sponsors the ‘Books in Homes’ initiative.
