Sue tops region at TAFE

Cobar TAFE student Sue DeJong accepted a book prize from teacher Nicky Jenkins in recognition of Sue achieving the top results in her Children’s Services Certificate III course in the entire western region. Mrs DeJong is now doing a diploma in the subject, and said while she is “not sure which path to take” she is now “on the road” to a career in children’s services, already filling in with Cobar Outside of Hours School Care (COOSH). Mrs DeJong will study her diploma externally through Dubbo TAFE, along with six other Cobar students who completed the Certificate III last year. Mrs Jenkins said after the success of last year’s class, Certificate III will again be offered next year.
