Prendergast and team win bowls

A round of the Men’s Club District Triples bowls was played at the Services Club on Saturday.
The team of Pat Prendergast, Don McGuinness and Jack Neale defeated Paddy Phillips, Peter Lewis and Barry Francisco (playing as a substitute for Ron Hanns).
In the ladies’ bowls competition on Tuesday eight players contested for their monthly Hen O’ Walk badge with Cath Benn and Marge Dowling the winners.
The Golden Oldies game was not played on Wednesday.
A field of 10 players took to the greens in beautiful autumn weather for a game of Jackpot Bowls on Saturday.
The winners of the day were Alan Strange, Glen Vlies and Anne Williams.
The Jackpot did not go off.
Eight players enjoyed a game of bowls on Mother’s Day, where the ladies traditionally play skip.
