The Cobar Show is done and dusted for another year with bumper crowds, non-stop action and a pavilion full of local talent on show. Eva Halliger, pictured above with Colleen Boucher (on behalf of the Boucher family) took out the Lyle Boucher Memorial Trophy for Most Successful Exhibitor at the 2009 Cobar Show. At the show’s official opening on Friday night, Melissa Manns was named Miss Showgirl and Ashleigh Kerr was named Junior Miss Showgirl, while the runners-up were Ella Roberts and Emily Rogers. At the
presentation, Cobar mayor Lilliane Brady announced that Cobar Shire Council has allocated $150,000 towards a new pavilion at Ward Oval in its draft management plan for 2009-10, which is hoped to be formally adopted later this month. For show pictures, click here and here.
