Hot competition at this year’s show

The Equestrian events at the annual Cobar Show were hotly contested with entrants from all over competing at this year’s event.
Pictured above is Janelle Waters competing in the D Grade AM3 Show Jumping event on Saturday which she won.
Many of the riders who competed in the horse events on Friday and Saturday at this year’s Cobar Show also went on to compete at the Nyngan Show on Sunday and Monday.
Results of both shows will be reported in next week’s edition.
In other show results, Jedda Bruce was the Pet Show Champion after winning the Best Kept Bitch and Best Mannered Dog sections and performing the Best Trick; Clancy Armstrong was the Best Child Handler and had the Best Kept Dog; Tammy Zani had the Best Kept and Best Mannered Cat; Ellie Russell’s dog Nellie had the Most Waggiest Tail; Robert Grant had the Most Unusual Pet and the Fancy Dress award went to Sam Manns.
Jedda also won the Flat Chat Dog Race.
Eva Halliger was the Most Successful Exhibitor in the Pavilion with Josie Anderson the Most Successful Junior Girl Exhibitor and Joe Webster the Most Successful Boy Exhibitor.
Carol Pritchard had the Champion Bloom of the Show, Eva Halliger had the Champion Rose and Kathy Francisco had the Champion Red Rose.
Daphne Jermyn had the Best Crochet Article.
The Junior Exhibitor Encouragement Award went to Neve Carter.
Cobar Primary School won the School’s Display while the Mobile Children’s Services entry took out the first prize in the pavilion Community Display section.
