Warm weather, great food, plenty
of bargains and lots of entertainment were the secrets to success for the Cobar Primary School Spring Fair Committee on Friday night.
This year’s Spring Fair fundraiser attracted a record crowd and raised approximately $16,500 for the school.
“It was a fantastic
result,” Spring Fair committee member Rebecca Gapps said.
“We were very, very pleased with the result.
“It was a great effort by parents and teachers.”
She said the money raised from this year’s fair will “top up” government funding received by the school.
“This extra money will enable the whole school to be 100 per cent online with Smartboards and internet,” Ms Gapps said.
Hundreds of local families passed through the gates on Friday night, enjoying the many stalls and attractions.
The Spring Fair was
officially opened by the school principal Jonathan
Harvey, who welcomed representatives from major sponsors Peak Gold Mines, CSA Mine and Endeavor Mine, and Khan’s SUPA IGA.
