New dental services have Cobar smiling

Wednesday September 16, 2009

Cobar will once again have a full time dental service next month when Life Time Smiles takes over the lease of Cobar Dental Practice.

The company, which currently operates practices in Brisbane and North Queens-
land servicing over 45,000 patients, is expanding its services to regional areas such as Cobar.

According to company director Dr Chris Hart, Life Time Smiles is “dedicated to producing outstanding dental results for patients through the optimal use of the latest equipment, materials and procedures”.

“Life Time Smiles offers orthodontic, implant, neuromuscular and aesthetic services.”

Dr Chris Hart graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.

In 1999 he graduated from Cambridge University with a Master of Philosophy in Biomedical Science.

Dr Hart is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute of Neuromuscular and Aesthetic Dentistry, where he is continuing his professional development and education.

Life Time Smiles also conducts a training program for dentists, with Cobar to
be included on the roster for trainee placements.

“The training program is a two year comprehensive program that enables our fully qualified dentists to perform more complex procedures and complete complex cases,” Dr Hart said.

“We aim for all trainees to be able to perform neuromuscular, aesthetic and implant dentistry so that a full mouth reconstruction is both predictable and successful.

“Our techniques and training are second to none.

“We have enlisted some of the world’s best lecturers in these areas.

“The trainees work in our facilities in Queensland and New South Wales while attending training courses both in-house and with outside training organisations.

“The training program allows us to have two dentists which will be rostered to locations like Cobar, providing patients with a full time dental service,” Dr Hart said.
