Council welcomes new engineer

Cobar Shire Council’s general manager Ray Smith has welcomed new engineer Stephen Taylor from Palmerston North in New Zealand. Mr Taylor has been on the job for two weeks and comes to Cobar with a wealth of experience in roads after working in local government for almost 30 years. Mr Smith said Mr Taylor’s appointment will now allow council to be able to take a more strategic approach to its engineering services rather than only dealing with day-to-day issues.
