Gold wins St John’s swimming carnival

St John’s School nine years swimming competitors Abby Carswell, Laura McLeod, Alice Potter, Madison Marsh and Summer-Rose Stingemore at Wednesday’s school carnival.
Following their annual swimming carnival last Wednesday at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool, St John’s School has 31 swimmers who have qualified to compete at the cluster carnival in Nyngan this Friday.
Gold Team, with 438 points were the winning house with Green giving Gold some fierce competition throughout the day to finish with 333 points
The age champions from this year’s carnival were: Junior Boys—1st Coopa Martin and
2nd John Taylor; Junior Girls—1st Lauren Urquhart and 2nd Laura McLeod; 11yr Boys—1st Attila Szekely and 2nd Connor McLeod; 11yr Girls— 1st Tyra Hughes and 2nd
Taylah Good; Senior Boys—1st Max Hillier and 2nd James Goonrey; Senior Girls—1st Tilly Power and 2nd Gabbi Lennon.—contributed
