Cobar Business Association has received $4,800 to promote a shop locally campaign. Association secretary Angela Shepherd is pictured displaying the ‘Keep Your Cash In Cobar’ logo at the centre of the campaign.
The Cobar Business Association will next month use $4,800 worth of NSW Government funding to promote a shop locally campaign in Cobar.
The business association was successful
in obtaining a grant from the NSW
Government’s Small Chambers of Commerce Fund that will cover the cost of marketing materials and promote the ‘Keep Your
Cash In Cobar’ idea developed by the association.
Country Labor MLC, Christine Robertson said the NSW Government investment in Cobar will help to keep the Cobar community strong.
“By encouraging residents to shop locally, the Cobar Business Association is supporting local businesses and helping to keep money circulating within the community,” Ms Robertson said.
“These grants will help small communities to build business during tough economic times.”
The Cobar Business Association will use the funding for the ‘Keep Your Cash In Cobar’ campaign logo to be put onto
uniforms, point of sale materials, signs and posters.
The shop locally campaign will be launched next month and will include a $300 Cobar Quids lucky shopper competition which will be drawn at the association’s July Monthly Market Day.
