Harvey Norman Cobar manager Grant Bollington with Kubby’s Chelsea Kershaw and children Samuel Whiteman and Jet Roche, officially presenting a new Dyson vacuum to the centre yesterday.
Children at the Kubby House Occassional Childcare Centre will be able to breathe easier this summer thanks to the online votes of Cobar residents.
Kubby House will receive a brand new, HEPA filtered Dyson vacuum cleaner valued at $949 thanks to Harvey Norman Cobar, Dyson and the local community.
The vacuum cleaners support the resource packs sent earlier this month by the Asthma Foundation and Dyson to help the centre gain accreditation as an asthma friendly child care centre.
Donna Hay, from Kubby House said she was thrilled to receive the donation.
“It’s great to get community support in looking after our kids – we’re certainly looking at the information pack with interest to help promote an Asthma safe and friendly environment,” Ms Hay said.
The Asthma Foundations of Australia, Dyson and Harvey Norman are promoting the Kids Breathe Better campaign.
The campaign gave people in their local communities the opportunity to vote for their local child care centre to help them become more asthma friendly with a HEPA Dyson vacuum cleaner.
