Jim Manns takes home memorial trophy

A field of 18 members of the Cobar Clay Target Club turned up in very hot conditions to compete at the Billy Manns Memorial Shot on Sunday.

The first event of the day was a 20 target eye opener, with possibles (perfect scores) being shot by Tony Holzigal, Trevor Higgins, Jim Manns, Peter Boland, Tom Dickson, Gary Jones, Rob Thompson and Bryan Manns.

The second event was a 25 target single barrel competition.

C Grade was won by Holzigal with 20/25, B Grade John Polack 24.25, A Grade Jim Manns and AA Grade was split between Aaron Marsh, Thompson and Bryan Manns.

The main event of the day was the Billy Manns Memorial Handicap.

Jim Manns was delighted to win this cup with a score of 31/32.

Second was Darran Wells (35/38) and third was Dick Tulloh (34/38).

Following afternoon tea and some time under the air conditioning, the last event of the day, the 10 Pair of Double Rise, was shot.

Holzigal shot 13/20 to win C Grade, Tulloh 17/20 for B Grade, A Grade both Higgins and Boland shot 18/20 and in AA Grade Thompson and Bryan Manns both sot 19/20.

Highguns for the day were: C Grade—Holzigal, B Grade—Tulloh, A Grade Jim Manns and AA Grade Bryan Manns.—contributed
