A renewed effort is underway to get Cobar on air again with 20 locals attending a meeting on Monday night to discuss a local community radio station. Angela Webb chaired the meeting, with the effort coming about following a Tourism Think Tank. Former 2HOTFM community radio coordinator Werner Muhlethaler attended the meeting to give an insight into what would be required to get the station up and
running again. A number of community representatives offered their assistance to
get the station going, and efforts are now underway to resurrect the incorporated body Cobar Community Radio Inc, with a view to holding an annual general meeting (AGM) later this month. Attendees at the meeting agreed they did not want to lose the
community entity. Following the AGM, the group hopes to regain a community broadcasting licence and enlist a large number of community volunteers to get the station back on air..
