Blackie’s Benders grab a win over George’s Girls

Jacob Good was seeing the ball well in
Saturday’s Under 14s cricket match at Ward Oval No. 1. Good was one of the
top-scorers of the match with 13 runs. He also collected two wickets for the game.
Dale Manns was man-of-the-match in the Under 14s cricket last Saturday when Blackie’s Benders defeated George’s Girls in a close game.
George’s Girls won the toss and batted scoring 89 off their 24 overs.
Mark Fraser 14, Jacob Good (13) and Max Hillier (13) were the only batsmen to reach double figures.
Blackie’s Benders got the runs in the last over of the match.
Ethan Black 22 and Dale Manns 12 were their highest run scorers.
The pick bowlers of the day were Ethan Black with 1/3 and Matilda Power with 1/8 for Blackie’s Benders.
George’s Girls’ pick bowlers were Cameron Brown with 1/1 and Jacob Good with 2/12.—contributed
