Windy conditions greet clay shooters

Tony Holzigal, Ian Thompson, John Polack and Geoff Fennamore contested the 30
Target event at the Cobar Clay Target monthly shoot on Sunday.
The Cobar Clay Target Club held their monthly shoot in slightly windy, cool conditions on Sunday.
The division winners in the 30 Target Mixed event were: C Grade, Tony Holzigal 47/50; B Grade, John Martin and Ian Thompson (both on 47/50); A Grade Ross Morris 50/52 and second Trevor Higgins 49/50; AA Grade Rob Thompson 50/50, and second Rob Machul 48/50.
In the 25 Target Handicap event, Darran Wells with 23/35 was first ahead of John Martin (26/29) and Louise Machul (25/29).
The 15 Pair of Double Rise division winners were: C Grade, Holzigal 26/30; B Grade, Dick Tulloh 23/30, second was Geoff Fennamore 22/30; A Grade, Trevor Higgins and Jim Manns equal first with 26/30 and AA Grade Rob Thompson 29/30 and second Rob Machul 23/30.
High Guns for the day were C Grade—Holzigal; B Grade—Fennamore; A Grade—Higgins and AA Grade—Rob Thompson.
In other clay target news, several members of the local club travelled to Brewarrina last month to compete in clay target events.
Louise Machul and Jim Manns were successful in their events.
