The Copper City Investments sponsored golf day on Saturday attracted 28 players to contest a stroke event.

A net score of 59 was good enough to see Shane ‘Jimmy’ Carter take line honours.

He was closely pursued by Bayley Prendergast (61) and Garry Hay (63).

Nearest the pins shots were recorded by Kevin Walsh, Ernie Potter, Mick Bannister, Barry Schaefer and Jeff Smith.

A stableford event was played on Sunday and was won by Cliff Wyllie with a score of 42.

He was followed by Mark Gibson (42) and Jayde Townsend (45 provisional).

Nearest the pins were recorded by Bill Bartlett (2), Bayley Prendergast and Ian Prendergast.

Wednesday drew nine players to play a stableford event with Bian Smith (with a score of 42) winning the event from Neville Fugar (42) and David Gordon (41).

Nearest the pins went to Bob Baker, Smith and M. Russell.

This Saturday’s game will be a stroke event and on Sunday the annual Police Charity Four Person Ambrose.

This event is set down for a 9am tee-off.

Get your teams together for this great day of fun.

A handicap is not needed to play this event.—contributed
