Mine opens to the public

Peak Gold Mines’ Jemma Mackenzie showed the Roche family a demonstration of the mine’s copper flotation system at the Peak Gold Mines open day on Saturday. The display was one of many which gave the general public an inside look at the daily workings of one of the town’s major employers. The mine also conducted
underground and surface tours, and employees from various departments gave talks and demonstrations of different operations at the mine including apprentices,
members of the mine rescue team, surveyors and more. The Cobar Rotary Club
