Enthusiastic local amateur photographers met with local professional photographer Mark Ingram (pictured far right) on Sunday for a workshop, which culminated in the formation of a local camera club.
Local photographer Mark Ingram hosted a group of 13 keen amateur photographers for a workshop at his 21 Barton studio on Sunday.
Mr Ingram said he was pleased with the interest from community members in coming together to learn more about cameras, and has now set the wheels in motion to start a local camera club.
“The club will become part of the Federated Camera Club of NSW.
“The local club will be a fairly informal set up, and we hope to meet each month,” Mr Ingram said.
He said there are plenty of benefits of being affiliated with the Federated Camera Club of NSW.
“Local club members can send their photos off to the Federation, who will judge the images and give lots of feedback for members,” Mr Ingram said.
At Sunday’s workshop local participants learned about using their cameras in different situations.
“We talked about problems or issues that arise when using the cameras, and learned about things like adjusting the camera to suit the light available,” Mr Ingram said.
He said the group hopes to meet again for another workshop next month.
