Two accidents in Frederick Street

Emergency services attended two motor vehicle accidents in Frederick Street last Tuesday night.
The first accident occurred at 5.20pm when the 40 year old male driver of a Falcon utility failed to give way at the intersection of Bradley and Frederick streets and collided with a Nissan 4WD travelling along Frederick Street causing it to veer off the road, spin around and come to rest on the footpath outside a residence.
The 47 year old female driver and her female passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries before both being conveyed to hospital.
The passenger of the vehicle remained in hospital for observation overnight and was released the next day.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the male driver was issued with an infringement notice for negligent driving.
The second accident occurred shortly after at 6.20pm when a prime mover hit a power pole in Frederick Street.
The 51 year male driver of the prime mover was uninjured as a result of the accident.
The vehicle sustained minor damage however there were disruptions to power for approximately one and a half hours while Country Energy staff repaired power lines.
