Visitors to Cobar hit the bike trails

They are not what you would class as your typical tourists, however the 50 plus trail riders who visited Cobar last weekend sure added a fairly decent cash injection to the local economy. The riders from Cessnock, Nelson Bay, Wagga Wagga, Taree, Orange, Coleambally, Wellington, Dubbo and Narromine, many of whom arrived in town on Friday and stayed until Monday morning, were given a warm welcome by the local motels, hotels, restaurants, fuel stations and local riders.
