Nymagee leads Kangas

In last week’s Kanga cricket matches Nymagee was a big winner over Golfie while Colts won their match on a forfeit from Kerrigundi.
Nymagee won their game after finishing with eight out for the big score of 226 runs.
Run makers for Nymagee included Thomas Jones 34, Coopa Martin 30, Dominic Pearce 29, Ray Jones 28, Matt Dillon 27, Jack Barnes 24, Bryan Mitchell 24 and Nick Buckman 21.
Golfie’s bowling attack was led by James Goonrey with three wickets for 14 runs.
He was helped out by Jackson Goonrey who took 2/15 and Ethan Hyde 2/17.
Golfie could only manage 173 runs in reply with 18 out. Their runs were scored by Jackson Goonrey 31, Sophie McClure 28, Beigh Hillier 25 and Fred McClure 24.
Nymagee’s in form bowlers were Matt Dillon, who claimed six wickets for 13 runs (which also included a hat trick), Nick Buckman 3/10, Coopa Martin 3/12 and Jack Barnes 2/18.
Colts claimed an easy win after receiving a forfeit from Kerrigundi and a social game was played instead. 
The newly formed Kerrigundi/Colts side won the match after finishing at nine out for 167 runs. Kerrigundi/Colts’ runs were scored Jay Ellison 53, Mark Botten 39, Claude Beitz 29 and Rourke Lennon 21.
Colts’ bowling attack was led by Nick Mines with 4/12, Samuel Jeffery 2/19 and Meg Sandford 2/24.
Colts finished at 12 out for 151 runs.
Nick Mines 38, Rob Good 27 and Meg Sandford 23 were the best of the batters.
Kerrigundi/Colts bowlers Blake Toomey with 5/21, Rourke Lennon 2/22, Mark Botten 2/23 and Claude Beitz 2/23 did the damage with the ball.
With four rounds left to play in the
competition, the points table is as follows: Nymagee 124, Colts 108, Golfie 95 and
