The season finishes for little athletes

Following a final night of competition, the Cobar Little A’s Club held their end of season presentations at the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club on Monday night.
Throughout the season points are awarded to athletes on the basis of one point for competing, two points for equalling their own Personal best (PB) time or distance in an event and three points for bettering their own PB performance.
Trophies for point score winners this year went to: Under 6 years—Girls: Matilda McIver 49 points, Sammy Gosper 44 and Ruby-Belle Stingemore 31; Boys: Todd Polack 52 points, Jeremy Theakston 41 and Raymond Jones 37; Under 7—Girls: Allanah Van Der Straaten 53 points, Emily Dent 45 and Georgie Buckman 32; Boys: Eli Lovegrove 48 points, Oscar Punzet 39 and Marley Jones 37;
In the Under 8 years division the winners were—Girls: Kacey Davis-Banks 35 points, Mackenzie Marsh 29 and Abby Carswell 22; Boys: Daray Muldoon 50 points, Ethan Gilbert 44 and Raymond Dennis 41; Under 9—Girls: Lauren Urquhart 61 points, Chloe Polack 53 and Summer Rose Stingemore 41; Boys:
Thomas Jones 41 points, Coopa Martin 40 and Jackson Goonrey and Kane Buckman 28 points each.
The Under 10 years point score winners were—Girls: Taylah Good 47 points, Steph Mitchell 43 and Georgia Horne 37; Boys: Liam Webster 59 points; Under 11 years—Girls: Niamph Urquhart 55 points, Katherine Dennis 50 and Tyra Hughes 31; Boys: Bryan Mitchell 42 points, Quinton Place 36 and Bruce McLean 32; Under 12 years—Girls: Tilly Power 34 points, Ellie Tulloh 15 and Emily Rogers 13; Boys: Max Hillier 52 points, James Goonrey 38 and Jackson Hourne 36; Under 13 years—Girls: Amber White 16 points and Maddi Daly 7 points; Under 14 years—Girls: Taylor Gilbert 37 points and Grace Power 20 points; Boys: Jacob Good 45 points and Michael Carrello 6 points; Under 15 years—Boys: Luke Hillier 42 points, Jayden Hughes 27 and Tom Shanahan 25; Under 17 years—Girls: Courtney Hillier 18 points; Boys: Tony Place 43 points and second Shane Place 24.
The overall points score winners were Lauren Urquhart 61 points (girls) and Liam Webster 59 points (boys).
The club’s regional and state representatives Taylor Gilbert, Jacob Good, Taylah Good and Ethan Gilbert were recognised.
Encouragement awards went to Sara Langfield, Blye Dawson, Kiona Brown-Hill and Will Griffith.
Tiny Tots (under five years) participated in various games and activities over the season and were presented with certificates and medals on the night.
