An eight year old child who was acci-dently knocked down by a car in his driveway last week has escaped serious injury.
Cobar Police Senior Constable Brett Pitkin said the boy exited the car last Wednesday at around 5pm and proceeded to walk behind the car at the same time a family member was reversing the vehicle.
The boy was knocked down in the drive-way and was taken to Cobar Hospital by a family member.
Senior Constable Pitkin said the child was treated for abrasions and soft tissue injuries and stayed in hospital overnight for observation before being released the next day.
“Police have investigated the matter and no action was taken against the driver,” Senior Constable Pitkin said.
