Juniors’ swimming season comes to an end

Junior swimming presentations
The Cobar Swimming Club 13 Years, 14 Years and Open Age Champions and runners-up: Wade Potter, Sam Best, Ellie Potter, Hannah Young (runner-up), Dylan Prince, Cody Mackay (runner-up), Luke Hillier (runner up), Samantha Lloyd, Jack Kershaw and Jaimee Cohen at the club’s presentations last Wednesday night at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool.

The Cobar Swimming Club 2008/09 season came to a close last Wednesday with a final championship swim which was followed by presentations at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool.

The 2008/09 Point Score Champions were: 15 Metres, Ben Griffith with 27 points; 33 Metres, Abby Carswell (30); 50 Metres, Jacob Good (30) and 100 Metres, Wade Potter (32).

The Brian Howell Overall Highest Point Score trophy went to Wade Potter.

The Age Champion trophies were awarded to: 5 Years Boys’ Ben Griffith and 5 Years Girls’ Sami-Rose Mitchell; 6 Years Seb Best and Lucy Jenkins; 7 Years Coopa Martin and Lauren Urquhart; 8 Years Charlie Jenkins and Sally Kennedy; 9 Years Attila Szekely and Tyra Hughes; 10 Years Jackson Hourn and Kahlie Obray; 11 Years Liam Prince and Georgia Baker; 12 Years Toby Black and Charlotte Young; 13 Years Sam Best/Dylan Prince and Ellie Potter; 14 Years Jack Kershaw and Samantha Lloyd and Open Wade Potter and Jaimee Cohen.—contributed
