Bartlett leads the golfers home

A small field of 10 golfers contested last Wednesday’s men’s stableford event with Bill Bartlett leading the field home with 37 points.
He was closely followed by Wayne Josephson on 36 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Randall Hall and Josephson.
Saturday’s CADJ Car Wash-sponsored stroke competition was won by Gary Hay with a net 66 score coming straight after his win the previous week in the Monthly Medal game.
Filling the placings were Brien Obray (67 net) and Paul Hay on 68 net.
Nearest the pins were won by Ian Prendergast, Peter ‘China’ Brien and Gary Hay.
No golf was played locally on Sunday due to the rain however six local players travelled to Bourke on Sunday to contest the Darling River Open. Neville Fugar and Craig Dillon won minor trophies.
The Mine Challenge Three Person Ambrose will be played this Saturday.
A Monthly Medal will be played on Sunday along with the Albert and Coonamble Opens.
Next Wednesday a stableford round will be played.—Ace
