Friday night’s PP’s fundraiser at the Services Club had all the ingredients for a very successful night: plenty of talent, lots of laughs and an auditorium full of very generous people.

The fundraiser organised by the PP Organisation for local resident Dean Botten, raised approximately $20,000.

The line up of talent included 21 local acts with a large number of this year’s performers new to the stage, some of which were second generation PP performers who have taken over the mantle of the PP performing tradition from their mothers and fathers.

Among the acts, which were all hits with the crowd, were Kelvis and his teddy bears, the Bouncy girls, the Saturday Night Live boys, the Spice Girls, Mickey’s cheerleaders, the Coyote Ugly dancers, some very unsynchronised swimmers as well as tribute acts to Shania Twain, John Farnham, Michael Jackson and late nights at the Caltex.

The night was compered by well known star of the stage, Shazza, who was joined by amateur co-host Razza, who gave a dazzling debut, the likes of which almost stole the show.

In addition to the performances, a number of raffles, 100 Clubs and numerous donations were received.

An auction was also held on the night with a number of donated league and AFL merchandise sold along with one of the Coyote Ugly stage props, a bar, which fetched $1,000.
