Tilly Power is The Cobar Weekly and Cobar Youth & Fitness Centre Young Achiever of the Month for December.
Tilly was nominated by St John’s School teacher Paula Potter for “outstanding sporting success”.
Her nomination said that Tilly had represented St John’s School at Cluster, Diocese and Combined Catholic Schools carnivals in a variety of sports in 2009.
These include swimming, cross country and athletics.
She was also recently selected in the NSW Girls’ Primary School Cricket team.
This team is made up of girls from both catholic and primary schools across NSW.
She is to compete as part of the NSW squad in Queensland in January 2010.
“We are very proud of Tilly’s achievements,” Mrs Potter said.
“She is very talented, but yet very modest and always represents our school with pride and in a responsible and sportsman like manner.” - Eathan Dunlevy
