Duane’s volunteer work earns him Young Achiever award

Duane Parisi is The Cobar Weekly and Cobar Youth & Fitness Centre Young Achiever of the Month for June.
The 21 year old Cobar St John Ambulance volunteer was nominated by his superintendent Anita Hodgkinson for his “dedication and hard work” in the Cobar community.
As a newly qualified officer of the local St John first aid division, Ms Hodgkinson said Duane is “fully committed to his role as Duties Coordinator”.
“He gives freely of his time, not only for meetings, training and volunteering to assist with first aid at local events, but he has also donated considerable time to help with fundraising for the St John’s School debutante ball,” Ms Hodgkinson said.
“I have also found Duane to be extremely efficient and helpful in his paid work at
Harvey Norman and someone who I believe is very deserving of a nomination for Young Achiever.”
